Yesterday after checking out the private sale at Bloomies (runs thru 9/25) I took a turn through the mall to check out Cusp which opened at the end of August. The full name of the store is Cusp by Neiman Marcus. This is Neiman’s attempt to capture the hearts and minds, to say nothing of the dollars, of youthful (in spirit if not in age) fashion forward women.
The store carries clothing, shoes, handbags, a smattering of belts, jewelry and makeup. What caught my eye were the wonderful textured sweaters that will be so warm and cozy on a cold New England day, the satin tops and several dresses. On the whole the store does not carry what I would consider a wear-to-work wardrobe, although there were a few dresses by Diane von Furstenberg that caught my eye and several of the satin tops could easily be paired with a skirt or dress pant. Overall the selection seemed more geared towards casual and dressy looks. The Cusp web site does show a selection of skirts and pants (non-denim), I just don’t remember seeing them at the store.
