If you’re into hand made things then walking through a craft show looking for unique items for yourself and others is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. During the holiday shopping season there are a treasure trove of high quality craft shows in Boston. First up this year appears to be CraftBoston Holiday, presented by The Society of Arts and Crafts. It starts tomorrow Nov 14 and runs thru Sunday Nov 16 at the Westin Boston Waterfront on Summer Street.
This is a juried show that features 110 craft artists displaying works in glass, metal, ceramics, leather, paper, wood, fiber and mixed media. For the fashionista looking for a unique item of clothing or accessory there will be garments made of hand woven fabrics, knitwear and hand painted silk, plus jewelry made from a variety of metals, incorporating gem stones, beads and other materials. In addition there will be a selection of unique baskets and furniture for sale.
