If you absolutely must give chocolate on Valentine’s Day, forget the red heart shaped boxes, forget the Godiva, Ghirardelli  and Lindt. Instead go for something special or creative. For something special go to a local chocolatier.

In the South End you can choose from Aroa on Washington Street and the newest addition to the hand made chocolate scene,  ChocoLee Chocolates on Pembroke Street. Located in Brookline Village and South Station, Seranade Chocolatier is the place to go for exceptional chocolate made locally, as well as a unique twist on the heart shaped box of chocolates. Their version is a chocolate heart box made with your special message written on the chocolate.

Other local shops that sell artisan chocolates from around the world include: Beacon Hill Chocolates on Charles Street, and Richart located in Copley Place. Richart sells heart shaped chocolates should you yearn for special but slightly traditional.

If any of these options sounds just right to you and you don’t have the time to shop, why not let me be your personal concierge and shop for you. You tell me what you’re looking for,  I’ll get it for you and if necessary, I can get a card, wrap the chocolates and hand deliver them to your loved one. Request Information
